The Pays de Fribourg is somewhat a world turned upside down: cold, limestone summits are found in the south and mild, even Mediterranean-like lakesides in the north. On its small territory, two languages coexists and three very distinct holiday regions overlap.
In the Pays de Fribourg you will find numerous towns and villages which are really worth a visit. Convince yourself! Leave the freeway A1 and make a small excursion to:
- Estavayer-le-Lac und Murten in The Lakes Region
- Fribourg und Romont in the Centre
- Gruyères, Schwarzsee, Charmey, Bulle, Moléson, Les Paccots in The Pre-Alps
